Associate Dentist
Dr. Amélie Fournier DMD
I’m a general dentist who joined the Greenstone Dental team in Hearst in 2019, shortly after graduating with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from McGill University. Originally from Ottawa, with deep family roots in Hearst, it felt natural to make this community my home. I now live here with my fiancé and our hairless cat, Béa—who also plays a very special role at the clinic. I have a strong interest in dental surgeries and anesthesiology/sedation dentistry, and I’m passionate about providing patient-centered care that’s sensitive to dental anxiety. My goal is always to create a safe, compassionate environment where patients feel truly supported.
Outside of Work: I love being outdoors—whether I’m camping, fishing, or snowmobiling. I’m also a gym enthusiast and love travelling and scuba diving! 🤿
Fun Fact: My beloved hairless cat, Béa, is not just a pet; she is also a certified therapy cat—and yes, she visits the clinic upon request to comfort patients who experience anxiety and need a little extra support during their appointments.
Comfort at Your Side
Say hello to Béa—she’s a certified therapy companion at our Hearst clinic! With her cozy sweaters and calming presence, she’s a pro at helping patients ease dental anxiety with cuddles and comfort during their appointments.
If you or your child could use some extra comfort, just ask to have Béa join you—she’s always happy to lend a paw.
